STARING is committed to collaborating towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. As a company, we recognize our influence and actively take responsibility for the goals within our sphere of impact.
Goal 3: Good health and well-being.
At Staring, we place great emphasis on promoting the health and well-being of our employees, addressing both their psychological and physical needs.
To support the mental well-being of our workforce, we prioritize fostering a positive and supportive work environment among colleagues. Additionally, we offer various initiatives aimed at enhancing their physical health.
- Through our fruit program, fresh fruit is delivered to the company on a weekly basis, ensuring that employees have access to a constant supply of fresh and nutritious options.
- Furthermore, we provide opportunities for employees to benefit from services like massage and physiotherapy, contributing to their overall physical well-being.
- In our commitment to preventing work-related injuries, we prioritize the provision of optimal ergonomic aids and equipment, particularly for tasks involving heavy lifting.
Goal 4: Quality education
STARING is part of the DI Apprenticeship Community. Through this, STARING contributes to educating the next generation of skilled workers. This benefits both the business community, society, and the individual apprentice.

Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth
STARING is part of the Business Center for Broenderslev Municipality. This means that we have space for three individuals facing different challenges that affect their working lives. These challenges can be both psychological and physical. By employing them, we can assist them in reintegrating into the workforce in a proper manner and at a pace, which suits their individual needs.
Furthermore, we also support surrounding municipalities and schools by welcoming individuals with diverse challenges. Among these initiatives, we assist the Semai School by accommodating their students and addressing their individual requirements.
Goal 10: Reduced inequalities
The goal of reducing inequality is an important matter when hiring employees at STARING. We do not differentiate based on race, gender, sexuality, age, disability, religion, or any other labels. We do not care whether you are a woman, transgender, black, or any other identity, but we value skills. Both personal and professional.
We evaluate individuals based on what they have to offer to the workplace.
Goal 13: Climate action
At STARING, we prioritize our climate efforts and continuously strive for improvement. We actively explore ways to enhance our sustainability practices. For instance, we encourage our suppliers to use reusable pallets for shipping, and we are actively working on making our own packaging more recyclable.
